Non Financial Risk Trainee

A leading private bank is seeking a high-potential individual for its Guernsey branch. Sitting within the 2nd line of defence and reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, this structured program offers tailored career development and support toward completing a relevant professional qualification.

You will actively maintain the local Risk Management Framework to identify, monitor, and mitigate operational risks. Daily tasks include evaluating operational incidents, assisting with the local control plan, monitoring Key Risk Indicators, and creating high-quality Management Information reports for risk committees. You will also collaborate closely with wider compliance and financial crime teams.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in finance, banking, or economics—or possesses relevant industry experience—alongside an analytical mindset and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a genuine passion for wealth management are essential.
