The Position
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team, providing advice and product suggestions to help and support customers complete home projects.
You will be dealing with all aspects of customer service including sales, responding to queries, processing orders, keeping customers up to date with their orders and being attentive to their needs. In addition, you are part of a valued team keeping the Centre looking clean, attractive and well stocked.
The ideal candidate will have good customer-focused experience, strong communication skills and be keen to learn.
Any previous experience in a similar role and/or relevant experience within a retail or shop environment would be advantageous.

The Responsibilities
- Working within a small team to build and maintain profitable customer relationships, driving sales, and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Responding to customer questions and queries both over the phone and in person.
- Greeting customers, offering assistance, recommending products, highlighting offers and referring to experts when needed; ensuring excellent customers service levels are always provided and maintained.
- Working to the schedules and tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Handling and resolving basic queries, escalating if necessary.
- Providing customers with product information by staying informed on the latest industry trends, researching required information using available resources, when applicable.
- Accurately process orders using in-house systems.
- Liaise with other departments to schedule delivery and redelivery of orders.
- Assisting with maintaining stock levels.
- Assisting with maintaining product displays, shelf arrangements and a clean and accessible department for our customers.

- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Organised, with a good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Displays and delivers a professional attitude and manner at all times.
- An understanding of what excellent customer service is and how to deliver it.
- Ability to work within a team and is pro-active in contributing to the team.
- Understands the requirements of confidentiality and adheres to it.
