The Position
The Athena Group is a private family investment office supporting an entrepreneur across a diverse portfolio of Guernsey businesses & property investments / developments.
We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Temporary PA & Administrator to provide general PA, secretarial and administrative support to the Chairman.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity with no fixed weekly hours, making it particularly well suited to someone looking to fit additional working hours around their existing commitments.
This would be ideal for an experienced PA or administrator who is currently working part-time, returning to work, has family or childcare commitments, or simply wants greater flexibility than a traditional contracted role.
For the right individual, this role has the opportunity of transitioning into a permanent, full-time position.
The Responsibilities
- Provide PA and general administrative support to the Chairman and wider Athena Group team.
- Type, prepare, format and amend letters, reports, meeting notes, correspondence and other business documents quickly and accurately.
- Organise and maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring documents are appropriately named, filed and easy to retrieve.
- Assist with document management, scanning, filing, version control and general record keeping.
- Assist with diary management, meeting arrangements and preparation of supporting documents.
- Manage correspondence and administrative follow-ups as required.
- Help organise information and documentation relating to the Group’s businesses, properties and projects.
- Assist with general office administration and other ad-hoc PA tasks and projects as required.
Experience / Qualifications / Education
- Previous experience in a PA, secretarial, office administration or similar role preferred.
- Fast and accurate typing skills, with a strong focus on presentation and attention to detail.
- Strong document preparation, formatting, filing and document management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Able to work independently, use initiative and complete administrative tasks efficiently.
- Professional, discreet and trustworthy, with a good understanding of confidentiality.
- Legal secretarial, professional services or similar office experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- No specific professional qualification is required; practical PA/administrative experience, organisation and strong computer skills are preferred
