Plant Operative

We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to join our busy Island Waste Bulwer Avenue Site.

Island Waste is part of the Guernsey Recycling Group (GRG). GRG is a leading recycling and waste management company, proudly helping local businesses and households to recycle as much as possible.

As islanders are doing an excellent job at recycling their waste, we are looking for a person to join our fantastic team.

Applicants must live in Guernsey and hold a valid right to work in Guernsey.

No accommodation is provided with this role.

Standard hours are based on 40 hours per week, 07.00am - 16.00pm Monday to Friday. Some overtime when required.

The main responsibilities of the Plant Operatives will be:

·         Operate machinery and plant as directed.

·         Undertake, checks on plant and machinery.

·         Work well as part of a team.

·         Communicating effectively with other members of staff via radio, to ensure the health and safety of everyone on site.

·         Assisting in keeping the site clean and tidy.

An experience operator preferred, but full training will be given on site.
