Clinical Assistant

A Clinical Assistant plays a key role in the clinical journey of our practice. Enjoying an opportunity to operate the latest clinical equipment to better help care for the ocular health of our community. This Full-time role involves working closely with our Optometrists to operate screening & diagnostic instruments used to detect & diagnose conditions as well as conduct specific clinical tests on request.

A local employment permit must be held in order to apply for this role. 

Our clinical assistants welcome patients, register their attendance and conduct a variety of clinical tests with every patient.

 The role would be suitable for anyone having an interest in the human / ocular anatomy and enjoys working closely with people. A personable and calming nature is especially important to help our patients feel at ease while obtaining high quality results.

 Additional tasks may include:
 - offering a warm welcome to all patients
 - dealing with general enquiries in person
 - booking appointments
 - assisting customers with their contact lens queries
 - performing contact lens teaches

No previous experience required. All necessary training provided.

Minimum GCSE grade 4+ (C or above) for English & science
