The Position

We’re looking for reliable, confident bar staff to join our team at a busy sports bar in time for the Premier League season to start in August 2026

The role includes serving drinks, taking payments, keeping the bar clean and well-stocked, supporting the team during busy match days and giving customers a great experience. You’ll need to be confident serving customers, keeping the bar running smoothly, managing busy periods, and supporting the team during big games and events.
Applicants must be reliable, responsible and capable of working alone when needed, including opening, closing, handling payments and keeping standards high without constant supervision.

You’ll need to be friendly, punctual, hard-working and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Previous bar experience is preferred, but the right attitude matters most.

Typical shift patterns include:

  • Weekday evenings: 4:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Saturdays: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Sundays: 12:00pm – 8:00pm

Applicants should be available to work at least one of the above shift patterns on a regular basis.

The Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve drinks and food to a consistently high standard.
  • Help create an exciting match-day and event experience.
  • Keep the venue clean, organised and well-presented.
  • Work as part of a family like team while taking initiative when needed.
  • Take pride in representing the business and helping it grow.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

  • Previous experience in a cafĂ©, bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred (but not essential for the right person).
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in sport, match-day atmosphere, and great customer service is a big advantage.

Relevant training/certifications (e.g. food hygiene, licensing) are a plus — training can be provided.

Benefits

  • Company pension scheme
  • Staff discount on food & drinks
  • Training provided + progression opportunities
  • Team days / socials
  • Direct access to the owners with genuine influence over the business
  • Work in a newly refurbished, sports-led venue with a great atmosphere
