The Position
Are you an empathetic person? Do you thrive in an environment where you can work holistically? You may have an interest in wellbeing, helping people or you may have a natural way of connecting and communicating with young people. This position may suit someone who is early in their career, with an appetite to develop, complete training and build their experience. Alternatively, if you have a background in working with young people, social prescribing or coaching, then we’d love to hear from you.
The Responsibilities
The Wellbeing Practitioner will deliver one-to-one support for young people that need a listening ear. They will provide a safe space for young people to talk, offering emotional support and helping them build confidence and resilience, as well as creating opportunities for them to engage in enjoyable and meaningful activities. The practitioner will have their own caseload of children and young people with a variety of different needs. Each of our Wellbeing Practitioners also manage and run their own targeted group. We currently have groups for children with Complex Health Needs, a Young Carers group, a Young Men's group and an emotional wellbeing group for children of primary school age, called Indigo.
