The Position

Clintons - Retail Supervisor - Guernsey

Key Responsibilities:

Team Support: Lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and maintain store standards.

Customer Service: Offer friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them find the perfect cards and gifts for every occasion.

Stock Management: Assist in inventory control, stock replenishment, and ensuring the store is always well-stocked with high-quality products.

Visual Merchandising: Help create attractive displays and maintain a visually appealing store environment.

Operational Duties: Assist with opening and closing the store, cash handling, and maintaining store organization and cleanliness.

Sales Performance: Support the team in achieving sales targets, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Problem Solving: Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and support the store in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Skills and Experience:

Previous retail experience, ideally in a card, gift, or similar retail environment.

Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.

Ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and create a positive store environment.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

A keen eye for visual merchandising and store presentation.

Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on new challenges.

The Responsibilities

·        To be responsible for the opening and closing of the store, cash handling and till management in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager

·        To support the Store Management team and the Loss Prevention team in implementing loss prevention control to prevent internal/external theft and system errors           

·        Responsible for running the store in the Managers absence 

·        To drive the sales and profitability of the store obtaining outstanding results

·        To deliver exceptional customer service with in the store

·        To promote high visual merchandising standards ensuring that store housekeeping standards are continually achieved

·        To ensure products are well presented at all times

·        To assist with stock deliveries with responsibility for stock control and stock count in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager

·        To maximise sales opportunities engaging the customer

·        To operate the till effectively and efficiently

·        To be a team player working together to meet and exceed store objectives

·        Strive for personal excellence in all you do

Experience / Qualifications / Education

Previous retail experience, ideally in a card, gift, or similar retail environment.
