Veterinary Care Assistant

The role involves assisting all colleagues in the day to day, clinical and non- clinical duties and smooth running of the practice, with emphasis on providing the best standard of patient care. To deliver a professional service and good working relations with all colleagues and clients. Importance placed on being a team player.

You will be working closely with the clinical team in all aspects of patient care, as well as being able to effectively communicate with clients, booking appointments and giving advice,

 A genuine love of animals and ability to work well within a close knit team is essential and duties will include:

 Care of in patients

 Running nurse consults

 Assisting the Vets and RVN's with procedures

 Preparation of theatres

 Kennel and cattery work 

Cleaning and  laundry on a daily basis. 
 

Ideally the applicant must have English and Maths to GCSE Grade C Level or equivalent.

Previous veterinary experience beneficial but not essential as in-house training is provided.
