Sales Associate

Since expanding our beautiful showroom, Martin & Martin Goldsmiths is on the lookout for a new sales associate to join our team. We’re searching for self motivated, dynamic individual who genuinely loves people and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience. If you enjoy meaningful conversations, beautiful jewellery, and being part of a close knit independent business, you’ll fit right in.
 
Jewellery experience is not essential… but a natural flair for sales and service will definitely earn you extra sparkle points.

As part of our sales team, you’ll help customers with everything from choosing a gift or new piece of jewellery to engagement rings, wedding rings and watches. You’ll also assist customers with repairs, remodelling and the many other services offered by our workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer service

* Helping customers choose jewellery, watches and gifts

* Building strong relationships with new and existing customers

* Taking in jewellery and watch repairs and accurately recording customer requirements

* Assisting with engagement rings, wedding rings and other special purchases

* Processing sales and payments through our till system

* Maintaining attractive, well presented displays

* Helping with the day-to-day running of the shop

* Learning about our jewellery, watch brands and services so you can confidently advise customers

Previous jewellery experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We’re much more interested in finding the right person to join our team.

You should be:

* Friendly, approachable and confident

* Naturally good with people

* Reliable, organised and attentive to detail

* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

* Keen to learn about jewellery, diamonds, watches and precious metals

* Able to communicate clearly and professionally

* Well presented and comfortable working in a premium retail environment

Previous retail or customer service experience would be beneficial.
