About the role

Here’s what we’re looking for: working safely and efficiently; taking a practical, hands-on approach; supporting the team to deliver well-run sites; and maintaining a positive, reliable presence on site.

You’ll be part of a team that’s making a real difference on the island, helping reduce people’s energy costs, supporting the transition to renewables, and getting involved in community and charity projects.

What you’ll be doing

Installation and support:

  • Assist with installation of solar panels, battery systems and heat pumps
  • Carry out framing, mounting and cable runs for systems
  • Support both mechanical and electrical elements of installations

Team & site delivery:

  • Work closely with electricians and other trades
  • Help keep sites organised, efficient and running smoothly
  • Assist with loading, materials handling and general site tasks

Customer & operational support:

  • Work professionally with clients on site, supporting a good customer experience
  • Answer basic queries where appropriate or escalate as needed
  • Complete job documentation after installation

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Practical, hands-on approach with good technical awareness
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
  • Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weather
  • Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
  • Able to work well as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience in construction, roofing, electrical or similar site-based work
  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems
  • Experience working on building or installation projects
  • Driving licence

What you’ll get

Pay & package:

  • Competitive salary
  • Company performance bonus (annual)
  • Secondary pension (2.5% employer contribution)

Tools & support:

  • Company vehicle
  • All suitable working gear provided

Work environment:

  • Social events throughout the year
  • Supportive, down-to-earth team
  • Clear opportunity to grow with the business

How we work

We focus on doing the basics well:

  • We prepare properly so there’s no guesswork on site
  • We take pride in the finish
  • We communicate clearly
  • We work as one team
  • We stay organised and safe
  • We improve as we go
