The Position

Mimosa Ltd is looking for an experienced gardener to join our expanding maintenance team. We are seeking someone who is confident in their skills, able to work independently, and passionate about delivering high-quality garden maintenance.

If you're looking for a better working environment, a supportive team, and a company that genuinely values its employees, Mimosa Ltd could be the perfect fit. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to putting our team first and creating a workplace where skilled gardeners can build a rewarding long-term career.

The Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, planting, and seasonal garden care, ensuring every site is maintained to the highest standard. You will take pride in your work and be committed to preserving the health, appearance, and long-term development of the gardens and landscapes under your care.

You will also be expected to support, train, and mentor other gardeners, helping to develop their skills and knowledge while promoting best practices across the business. You will lead by example, monitor the quality of work being carried out, and help ensure that Mimosa Ltd's high standards are consistently achieved on every project and maintenance visit. Working closely with management, you will contribute to maintaining a positive, professional, and productive team environment.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

We are looking for an experienced gardener with a minimum of 3 years' professional gardening or horticultural experience. You should have a strong knowledge of plants, pruning, lawn care, and general garden maintenance, with the confidence to work independently and make informed decisions on site.

Applicants must be competent in the safe use of gardening tools, machinery, and equipment, and take pride in delivering consistently high standards of work. The role requires someone who is physically fit, enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions, and has a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. A valid driving licence and the right to work in Guernsey are required.

Additional horticultural qualifications, machinery certificates, or experience supervising others would be advantageous but are not essential.

Benefits

We pay competitively, give paid holidays and sick days, and offer a pension scheme where we actually put in more than the minimum requirement - because your future matters. You’ll also get team-building days, access to fresh produce from our veggie patch, and a supportive, down-to-earth crew that actually makes work fun. And for 2026 - we now offer healthcare! That’s right, real coverage to keep you healthy, happy, and covered when life happens.
