About Us:

The Last Post is a friendly, lively pub in the heart of St Andrews. We’re known for our welcoming atmosphere, great food, and fantastic team spirit — and now we’re looking to grow our kitchen team with an experienced and enthusiastic Commis Chef or Chef de Partie.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A reliable, hard-working chef with previous kitchen experience
• Passionate about preparing fresh, tasty pub food to a high standard
• A good team player who thrives in a busy kitchen environment
• Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota

•  Prepare, cook, and present dishes to company specifications and standards
•  Assist with food preparation and mise en place for busy service periods
•  Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
•  Check deliveries and stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure quality
•  Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to keep service running smoothly
•  Help with daily cleaning schedules and closing down procedures
• Follow all health, safety, and food safety guidelines

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen
• Food Hygiene Level 2 (desirable — or willing to gain this with us)
• Good understanding of kitchen health & safety standards
• A passion for cooking and working as part of a team
