Position: Part-Time & Full-Time Bar/Waiting Staff
Location: The Last Post Pub, St Andrews, Guernsey

The Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Serve drinks and food to customers promptly and professionally.
- Take orders at the bar and at tables.
- Prepare and pour drinks to a high standard.
- Operate the till and handle cash/card payments accurately.
- Clear tables, wash glasses, and keep the bar and seating areas clean and tidy.
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar/restaurant area.
- Provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support colleagues during busy periods — helping wherever needed!
Experience / Qualifications / Education
Experience:
- Previous experience in bar work, waiting tables, or customer service is an advantage — but not essential as full training will be given.
- Experience handling cash/card payments and using a till is helpful
Qualifications/Education:
- No formal qualifications are required.
- Basic numeracy and good spoken English are important.
- Food hygiene or bar-related certificates are a plus but not essential — we can help you gain these on the job if needed.
Requirements:
- Able to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
