The Position
We are looking for a motivated and committed individual, who is flexible, with a professional approach to customer service, to join our team as an Assistant at our Decorating Centre.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Working within a small team to build and maintain profitable customer relationships, driving sales, and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
· Responding to customer questions and queries both over the phone and in person.
· Greeting customers, offering assistance, recommending products, highlighting offers and referring to experts when needed; ensuring excellent customers service levels are always provided and maintained.
The Responsibilities
· Working within a small team to build and maintain profitable customer relationships, driving sales, and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
· Responding to customer questions and queries both over the phone and in person.
· Greeting customers, offering assistance, recommending products, highlighting offers and referring to experts when needed; ensuring excellent customers service levels are always provided and maintained.
· Working to the schedules and tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
· Handling and resolving basic queries, escalating if necessary.
· Providing customers with product information by staying informed on the latest industry trends, researching required information using available resources, when applicable.
· Accurately process orders using in-house systems.
· Liaise with other departments to schedule delivery and redelivery of orders.
· Assisting with maintaining stock levels.
· Assisting with maintaining product displays, shelf arrangements and a clean and accessible department for our customers.
Experience / Qualifications / Education
· Customer service experience
· Excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills
· Ability to work within a team
· Able to work in a professional manner
· Basic computer skills
· Organised with attention to detail
