The Position

A great opportunity at an independent, value-driven financial services business based out of town.

The Responsibilities

The role holder sits within the wider Internal Finance department and will work across the Trust Group, providing an administration service within the finance function. Focus will primarily be assisting with the internal financial reporting whilst working closely with the Finance Assistant Manager / Manager.

You’ll be working in a friendly and progressive environment to undertake duties including: assisting with preparation of quarterly and year end internal reporting and the annual financial statements, assisting with debt collection, cash flow management and analysis of spending, undertaking general administrative duties of the finance department, and supporting with bookkeeping where required, ensuring records of all time and fee transactions are kept up to date, liaising with colleagues in relation to timesheets and disbursements, obtaining approval for expense invoices received and draft payment instructions, reconciling bank accounts on a weekly basis and liaising with clients and associates.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

Candidates should have a sound understanding of tasks covering a range of internal finance activities using multiple methods, techniques and processes, an interest in, or who is in the process of working towards, a relevant qualification, for example FIA or CAT with the ability to identify and resolve non-complex issues, with support and direction.
