Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations / Area Manager to lead a large retail group.

Through the effective leadership and management of Store Managers the role holder will maximise sales in the various retail and online outlets, maintaining consistent high operational standards across all trading units and to control outlets costs and expenses in line with policy and budgets in order to maximise their net profitability.

Leadership: the role holder will embed the culture and values of the group within retail operations and encourage management and staff to attain the highest possible standards.

People Management: the role holder will lead, direct, consult with, develop and motivate each direct subordinate in order that they may optimise their contribution to the business.

Candidates should have a broad understanding of the business, a strong level of business and financial acumen, a strategic mind-set, an ability to develop a risk management perspective with regards to areas of responsibility, an ability to analysis the internal and external environment for data and trends and action the information along with relevant professional qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience required to execute the role.
