Working alongside the Communications and Marketing team, the GEL Executive Leadership Team, and other employees, you will help ensure GEL provides engaging and informative content regularly to Islanders effectively and appropriately.

Events – You will help coordinate various internal and external events for GEL, supporting planning and logistics such as sourcing event team volunteers and venue arrangements. This could include community engagement opportunities, speaking engagements for senior GEL staff, customer information sessions, and meetings or forums with external stakeholders. You will create high quality presentations and other material for use at these events.

Communications and Marketing Support – You will support the Communications and Marketing team in areas such as campaign planning and execution, business development support, management of the public inbox, sharing corporate news on our internal communications network, collaborating closely with our external creative agency, and engaging with staff and customer queries.

Planning and Reporting – You will support the planning and scheduling of communications and marketing activity. You will help track and report on campaign effectiveness, recommending improvements where applicable. You will monitor trends and ensure GEL is at the forefront of innovative and engaging communication and marketing activity in Guernsey. You will ensure consistency of messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.

Budget Management – You will help to administer the financial budget for communications and marketing activity, raising and monitoring ‘Purchase Orders’ and ensuring invoices are paid on time. You will also track spending and update records and forecasts accordingly.
