We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Dispenser to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe preparation and dispensing of specialised medicines. Working alongside pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure that patients receive their prescribed treatments accurately and on time. You will be dealing with complex medications that require particular attention to detail, regulatory compliance, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescribed specialised medicines in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

·        Ensure the safe and secure handling of specialised medicines, including storage, stock control, and record-keeping.

·        Assist the pharmacist with the delivery of pharmaceutical care, providing advice to patients where appropriate.

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure all prescriptions are processed correctly.

·        Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their carers, providing a high level of customer service.

·        Support the pharmacy team in managing inventory, including ordering and stock checks.

·        Ensure that all dispensing activities are in line with GPhC regulations and legal requirements.

·        Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the dispensary and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent) is essential.

·        Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.

·        Knowledge and experience in handling specialised medicines (e.g., biologics, injectables, or controlled drugs) is desirable.

·        A strong understanding of GPhC guidelines, and relevant legislation.

·        Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

·        Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

·        IT literacy, including experience with pharmacy systems and software.
