Wait Staff

The role of Wait Staff is required to support the smooth operation of a small but busy wine bar. The position ensures that guests are welcomed, served efficiently, and provided with an excellent standard of customer service, contributing directly to the success and reputation of the business.

As a small but growing wine bar with on and off license functions, the business requires front-of-house staff to meet customer demand, uphold service standards, and maintain a welcoming environment. This role is essential to the delivery of the overall customer experience and to the ongoing viability of the business 

• Greeting and seating guests in a polite and professional manner.
• Taking orders accurately and delivering drinks and light food promptly.
• Providing information and guidance on the wine and snack menu
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at tables and in the service area.
• Assisting with the preparation of service areas before opening and closing.
• Assisting with wine sales to customers from the off licence shop side of the business
• Working collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Supporting compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Completing further training including WSET examinations and Cheese Academy Levels 1 and 2.
• Broadening knowledge of wines, spirits and all food products.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deliver friendly and professional service under pressure
• Attention to detail and reliability in carrying out duties
• Teamwork and flexibility to support the need of a small business
• Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential; full training can be provided
