The Position

We are looking for a motivated and organised Stores, Hire & Sales Assistant to support the Stores and Hiring function within Project Guernsey. Full training will be provided to help you learn the role and develop your skills. You will assist with stock management, ordering, customer enquiries and general department administration.

The Responsibilities

  • Assist with spare parts and stock ordering including stock shop activities and stock taking ·      
  •  Maintain organised and accurate stock records and assist with regular stock counting ·        
  •  Process price corrections, works orders and warranty claims accurately ·     
  •   Assist customers with spare-parts enquires and identify appropriate parts using codes, figures and relevant systems ·   
  •   Develop a good working knowledge of the department’s products and equipment ·    
  •   Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong attention to detail ·   
  •   Use Excel and email for routine departmental administration ·    
  •   Work confidently with numbers and maintain accuracy when processing information ·     
  •  Provide good customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues ·     
  •  Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by the manager to aid business / department success. ·      
  •  Assist the department with regular sequential stock counting. ·       
  •  Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures. ·     
  •  Adhere to the Group Health and Safety Policy. ·        
  •  Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role. ·       
  •  Assist with deliveries when needed.  

Experience / Qualifications / Education

 Essentials Skills and Knowledge
 

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure ·       
  •  Good attention to detail and accuracy ·      
  •  Comfortable working with numbers ·        
  •  Basic computer literacy including email and excel ·         
  • Good organisational skills ·         
  • Good communication and customer service skills ·         
  • Willingness and ability to learn on the job ·         
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team ·       
  • Understands and adheres to strict confidentiality of business and customers information.

 
Desirable Skills Knowledge                                        
   Full driving licence would be advantageous
