Temporary/ Part Time Retail Assistant

The Farm Shop exists to create a dedicated route to market for farmers and growers working in balance with nature, employing regenerative principles.

We focus on food that is grown with care for the soil, the animals and the wider environment. We’re helping build a more resilient local food system, one that supports farmer livelihoods, community health and the long-term future of the land.

We’re looking for someone to join our passionate team, who cares about food, where it comes from, and how it’s grown.

This is a hands-on role, split between serving customers and helping the shop run smoothly behind the scenes.

• Welcoming customers and creating a friendly, open environment
• Being familiar with and communicating the values of the produce and the producers
• Operating the till and handling transactions
• Managing efficient store room systems and assisting with receiving deliveries
• Keeping shelves well stocked and organised
• Updating and maintaining our POS system
• Happy working alone and taking responsibility for opening and closing the shop. 

• Previous retail experience is ideal
• A passion for clean, flavoursome local food
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable with both physical work and basic IT systems
• Reliable, proactive and good with people
• Having a flexible, adaptable and team focussed nature
• Happy working alone and taking responsibility for opening and closing the shop.
