This isn't a typical architecture vacancy.

We're looking for a driven individual with experience in architecture or architectural design who wants the opportunity to help build a new practice in Guernsey from the ground up.

You could be an architect, senior architectural technician or technologist, or simply someone with strong industry experience and the ambition to take the next step.

The foundations are already in place. The business, brand, website and initial infrastructure have been created. What's missing is the right person to take it forward.

You may have thought about starting your own practice but haven't wanted to do it alone. Or perhaps you've reached the point where you want more ownership, autonomy and influence than a traditional role can offer.

We're deliberately open-minded about qualifications and experience. We're much more interested in finding the right person: someone who knows the industry, is good at what they do, enjoys working with clients and has the drive to help build a successful business.

This is an opportunity to influence everything from the projects we pursue and how we work with clients, to the culture, reputation and future direction of the practice.

This isn’t a traditional role with a fixed list of responsibilities. As the founding member of the practice, you’ll have a genuine say in how the business develops.

Initially, you’ll take the lead on architectural work and client relationships, helping to win and deliver projects while establishing the reputation of the new practice.

You’ll also help shape how the practice operates, the type of work we pursue and, as the business grows, the team and culture we build.

In short, we’re looking for someone who wants to help build the practice, not simply work for it.

We’re deliberately open-minded about qualifications and experience.

You could be a qualified architect, architectural technologist or technician, or someone with significant practical experience within the architectural profession.

What’s more important is that you have enough industry experience to confidently work with clients and deliver architectural projects, combined with the drive and ambition to help build a new practice.

Experience of the Guernsey market, planning environment and local construction industry would be an advantage, but we’re interested in the person rather than a particular CV.
