Trainee Compliance Analyst

Our client is seeking a Trainee Compliance Analyst to support the Compliance Monitoring Programme Manager within this locally based insurance and financial services company.

Reporting to the Compliance Monitoring Programme Manager, you will develop practical experience of risk-based monitoring within a Guernsey-regulated insurance business. You will assist with assessing the design and operating effectiveness of first-line controls, identifying weaknesses, risks and areas for improvement, preparing clear and accurate draft reports, and escalating potential issues, breaches or risks appropriately.

Some experience within financial services, insurance, compliance, risk, operations or audit would be advantageous for this role; however, full training will be provided. You must be willing to develop an understanding of GFSC and AML/CFT/CPF expectations, as well as the importance of compliance monitoring, governance and effective control frameworks. Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail are essential for success in this role. You should also demonstrate curiosity, a continuous improvement mindset and an interest in regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention and insurance operations.
