The Position

To support the Department Manager in embedding excellent customer service standards within the team.

Assist with supervising, motivating and developing all team members to be collaborative and co-

operative throughout the business. Deputising when the Manager is absent.

The Responsibilities

· Be responsible for the department schedules and work assigned to ensure that orders for delivery are

picked and packaged in a timely manner with due care.

· Maintain accurate records and document all customer service activities and discussions.

· Dealing with customers and following up with product and sales information.

· Maintaining and embed a high standard of housekeeping ensuring that the department is always kept

in a clean tidy and organised state.

· Working with the department manager to monitor stock levels and embed efficient stock replenishment

and management.

· Confidently and swiftly deal with and resolve complaints in a timely professional manner - escalating

to management when required.

· Remain up to date with the latest industry techniques and methods, researching required products.

· Research information using available resources and work with suppliers and other departments to

develop sales.

· Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills as required and agreed at your

performance review.

· Support the department Manager in meeting sales targets and sales budgets for the department.

· Identify opportunities to update or improve customer service procedures and standards and share

with department Manager.

· Assist with and facilitate employee inductions covering customer service policies, products,

procedures, and the best practices.

· Assisting with record keeping of team members attendance.

· Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager to aid business / department success.

· Support Mill and Eco team when required.

· Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures.

· Adhere to the Group Health and Safety Policy.

· Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

· Provides an excellent Customer service experience.

· Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.

· Ability to work within and lead a team.

· At all times works in a professional and courteous manner.

· Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to bespoke systems

· Organised with attention to detail.

· Understands and adheres to strict confidentiality of business and customers information.

· Commercial awareness with strong product knowledge.
