The Position

Kings Premier Health Club (www.kings.gg) is Guernsey’s leading destination for health, fitness and wellbeing. We are currently undertaking an exciting business growth program, including the construction of a new multi-million-pound pool’s and spa (and other facilities)— set to be the finest in the Channel Islands. 

As part of this next phase of growth, we are seeking an ambitious and strategic Commercial Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team to drive sales and commercial performance across all Kings Group brands. When required, you will also deputise for the Group Club Manager.

The Responsibilities

Commercial / Sales Manager

  1. Work closely with the Group Club Manager, the Chairman and Senior Management Team to implement the wider business transformation strategy & CRM platform architecture, embedding new operational standards, systems, and processes.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive commercial & sales strategies to drive sales, membership, revenue, and retention across the Kings Group (Kings, Marina, 1857 & Kids@Kings), working with the SMT to commercialise the further facilities and products to follow in line with the multi-million-pound capex program. 
  3. Ownership of key commercial metrics performance including enquiries, conversions, retention and member value, presenting regular commercial performance reports with recommendations to the Senior Management Team.
  4. Manage and be responsible for the Sales, Member Services & Administration functions, embedding a strong sales and commercial culture across all teams.
  5. Take full ownership of the end-to-end customer journey from first enquiry through to conversion and long-term retention, identifying and eliminate friction points in the customer journey to improve conversion rates & customer experience.
  6. Create structured sales materials, packages and pricing strategies to maximise sales conversions.
  7. Manage all existing and future CRM and business systems (e.g. PerfectGym), ensuring staff’s consistent use and adherence to CRM systems and sales processes are maintained to high standards. Work with the SMT to scope new CRM systems and be the on-site “champion” in their implementation.

Deputy Club Manager

  1. Deputise for and support the Group Club Manager, taking responsibility for overall club operations when required. 
  2. Act as a Duty Manager, ensuring compliance with all Company policies & procedures. 
  3. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management to build a high-performing and accountable team culture. 
  4. Support the Group Club Manager to ensure effective daily operations, labour efficiency, and compliance standards across all Kings Group departments.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

  1. Proven experience in sales, commercial or business development roles 
  2. Experience developing and implementing comprehensive commercial strategies to drive sales, membership, revenue, and retention. 
  3. Financial acumen with hands-on experience in business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  4. Tech-savvy and adaptable to new CRM commercial technologies.
  5. Experience working at a senior management level, contributing to strategic planning.
  6. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve commercial targets.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels 
  8. High attention to detail, and organisation. 
  9. A proactive, solutions-driven approach with a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
  10. Passion for health, wellness, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
