The Position
An excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a large retail group in a senior role at an exciting time of business growth.
The Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the store.
This role involves strategic planning, effective leadership, and the management of daily operations to ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.
The General Manager oversees all aspects of the store, including staff, stock levels, financial performance, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Experience / Qualifications / Education
Candidates should have proven experience as a Store or General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the supermarket or food retail industry.
Candidates will also have strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills, proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, and sales techniques, an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions, knowledge of health and safety regulations, results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets and business objectives, flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed and a qualification in Retail or Management is desirable.
