Energy Solutions Advisor

A varied role working within the Energy Advice / Sales team providing customer advice on their energy transition needs, along with supporting the provision of quotations for the range of energy solutions offered by GEL, to include electric heating, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and battery storage.

1.    To provide support to the Energy Advice / Sales team including dealing with customer phone calls, booking appointments and completing heat loss calculations. Ensuring sales records are maintained, customer quotes are delivered in a timely manner and follow-up work is completed to maximise sales acceptances. 

2.    To provide customers with advice on the energy transition from fossil fuels to electric solutions. 

3.    To promote the range of energy solutions offered by GEL, to include electric heating, air source heat pumps, EV charging points and battery storage. 

4.    To assist customers in their efficient use of energy, including assisting with our Home Energy Saving Audit services. 

5.    To participate in the delivery of promotional events and shows aimed at strengthening customer understanding of their household or business energy use and carbon footprint and the part they can play in reducing their usage. 

6.    Provide support in the delivery of future customer services, planned to further support Guernsey’s transition to 2050 and net zero. 

7.    Be aware of and comply with local legislation, specifically related to Guernsey Competition Law and Data Protection. 

8.    To demonstrate the core values and behaviours of GEL.

• A well organised person with good attention to detail 
• A highly motivated individual who is happy to work on their own or as part of a small team 
• Hold a current category “B” driving licence.
