The Position

The Head of Youth Support and Advocacy will lead the strategic planning, development and management of comprehensive support services for young people aged 7 to 18. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, effective, and innovative services that address the diverse needs of young people, particularly those facing challenges or at risk of social exclusion. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the importance of emotional support and the impact it has on mental health, coupled with exceptional leadership and management abilities to create a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

Experience and Qualifications 

• A degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field. A  postgraduate qualification in management or a relevant area is desirable. 

• Extensive experience in a senior management role within youth services, social care, or a  related field.

• Proven track record in designing and delivering successful support services for young people, particularly those from vulnerable or marginalized backgrounds. 

• Strong experience in budget management, fundraising, and income generation. 

• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding practices, risk management, and relevant legislation.
