Associate Underwriter

This is a new role and you will be expected to underwrite Kidnap & Ransom insurance in order to meet agreed service standards and key performance objectives.

In consultation with the Underwriter, you will be expected to drive and deliver underwriting success.

The role holder will deliver underwriting performance, develop relationships and maintain existing relationships with all distribution channels, underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk, drive ongoing and continuous improvement within the Underwriting department and manage and analyse a portfolio of business and make recommendations to leaders on how to improve profitability and ensure production targets are met.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills with confidence to build relationships at all levels and the ability to demonstrate evidence of using analytical skills to support decision making.
