Garage Hand/Vehicle Valeter

Guernsey Post is looking for a passionate and well organised Garage Hand/Vehicle Valeter to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an all electric vehicle fleet while enhancing your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team and will be responsible for the valeting of Guernsey Post, staff and external customer vehicles and assisting the vehicle technicians.

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has:

​

• Experience in vehicle cleaning or valeting
• A good understanding of vehicles; basic mechanical knowledge is a bonus
• Good attention to detail and pride in delivering a high standard of work
• Good organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Strong time management skills 
• A logical approach to tasks and problem solving
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a small team 
• A full clean driving licence 
• The ability to use basic IT systems

​​Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:30 - 14:00
