Buyer / Purchaser

BTS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer/Purchaser to join our thriving team. 

As a Buyer/Purchaser at BTS, you will be responsible for strategically sourcing and procuring goods and services to ensure optimal cost-effectiveness and efficiency. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, managing stock levels, and supporting our trade counter operations.

·         Buying & Purchasing: Proactively source and negotiate competitive prices for a range of products and services, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

·         Invoicing: Manage and reconcile purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

·         Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date product and pricing data within our systems.

·         Supply Chain Development: Identify and implement strategies to optimise our supply chain, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

·         Stock Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking.

·         Trade Counter Support: Provide support to our trade counter team, assisting with product inquiries and order fulfillment.

·         Proven experience in a similar buying/purchasing role.

·         Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

·         Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices.

·         Proficiency in managing and reconciling invoices.

·         Exceptional data management and analytical skills.

·         Experience in supply chain development and optimization.

·         Strong stock control and inventory management abilities.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

·         Experience providing trade counter support is highly desirable.
