Group General Manager

The Kings Group (www.kings.gg) is Guernsey’s leading destination for wellness - health, fitness, nutrition and wellbeing.

We are currently undertaking an exciting business transformation program, including the construction of a new multi-million-pound Pool’s and Spa Project (and other facilities)— set to be the finest in the Channel Islands. 

As part of this next phase of growth, we are seeking an exceptional Group General Manager to lead our Senior Management Team.

This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader to shape the future of a prestigious brand and drive operational and cultural change across the business. Working closely with the Chairman, the Group General Manager will lead the business transformation program implementation to position Kings as one of the Premier health, fitness, and wellness destinations in the Channel Islands and South of England.

The role offers significant scope for professional growth, with the opportunity for progression to Director-level  for an ambitious individual who delivers outstanding results and demonstrates strategic leadership in driving Kings’ continued success.

1. Work closely with the Chairman to implement the wider business transformation strategy, embedding new operational standards, systems, and processes.
2. Lead and implement commercial business improvement initiatives across the Kings Group to improve EBITDA performance.
3. Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of Kings & Marina Health Clubs.
4. Take ownership of the end-to-end customer journey across all Group businesses to maximise customer satisfaction, conversion, retention, secondary spend and lifetime customer value. 
5. Deliver consistent and effective operational and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
6. Lead the continual development of the Group's operational infrastructure, including CRM platforms, administrative processes, reporting and automation, ensuring the business operates efficiently and is well positioned for future growth 
7. Manage strategic supplier and contractor relationships, negotiating pricing, service levels and contractual terms to achieve best value whilst ensuring quality, compliance and timely delivery across all areas of the business. 
8. Ensure all staff follow company policies, procedures, maintenance programs, and training standards, including Safeguarding, GDPR, and Health & Safety etc. 
9. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene, and compliance across all facilities and activities.
10. Represent Kings as a visible and approachable leader, building strong relationships with members, staff, and partners.

1. Proven experience as a General Manager / CEO or Club Manager, preferably within the wellness sector
2. Strong operational and organisational management skills with high attention to detail.
3. Sound understanding of compliance, health & safety, and facilities management systems.
4. Hands-on experience in implementing business development initiatives to improve EBITDA 
5. A passion for wellness, health & fitness.
6. Relevant industry qualifications or management training.
