The Position

Purpose: To provide pan island client take-on services, ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met by following the firm’s internal client take-on policies and procedures. 

 Work closely with the GTCI service lines to provide a prompt, streamlined and seamless client take-on experience.

 Assist and support the New Business Manager in overseeing the pan island client take-on team ensuring a standardised client take-on process exists. 

The Responsibilities

  • Has responsibility for the entire client take-on process including:

 - Manage the local & international conflicts process
  - Undertake the initial risk assessment
  - Ensure all client take-on checks are completed to the highest standard 

  - Collection and review of all client take-on documentation
  - Manage the risk referrals process for high-risk clients in client manager
  - Completion of client onboarding by inputting and processing of data on our Client Manager 
     system.
  - Liaises with the service lines throughout the take-on process to help manage the clients 
     expectations and expedite the process in a timely manner

  • Acts in an advisory capacity to provide practical, effective and business focused advice to the Directors and service lines in respect of client take-on queries.
  • Proactively monitors the status of client onboarding.  
  • Assists in managing the pan island client take-on team providing training and support to the new business administrators as required.
  • Escalates client take-on issues as they arise to the New Business Manager. 


Experience / Qualifications / Education

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and confidence to deal with people at all levels and to build supportive relationships with different service lines across the firm. 
  • Is resilient in the face of resistance. 
  • Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to resolve queries and issues confidently and successfully.
  • Has good time management and organisational skills with a pragmatic, solutions focused approach.
  • Is able to work independently.
  • Maintains the highest professional standards to ensure the firm is not in a position of risk.
  • Confident individual with a proactive attitude. 
  • Must be able to multi-task and keep calm under pressure.
  • Ability to delegate work where it is appropriate to do so 
  • Holds or is willing to take the International Compliance Association Certificate in KYC and CDD
