The Position

The Risk & Compliance Administrator will perform a wide range of tasks to ensure that the business operates in accordance with its legal and regulatory obligations and works within the firm’s risk and compliance framework.

The Responsibilities

To provide support and assistance to the Risk & Compliance Team as follows:

  • Assist in the analysis of laws and regulations to identify key changes and measuring/assessing their impact on the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the maintenance, review and update of all R&C policies & procedures.
  • Assist with managing the generic compliance mailbox to ensure email traffic is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Attend ERM and Risk Committee meetings, taking notes and drafting minutes of those meetings.
  • Assist with identifying additions and improvements to the Compliance Monitoring Programme and assist with completion of monitoring tasks, and produce comprehensive results-based reports.
  • Assist with maintaining regulatory registers (eg. complaints, gifts, avoidable/unavoidable losses, PII, breaches, risk registers).
  • Assist with ensuring all sanctions and other relevant notices are reviewed and actioned, as appropriate.
  • Assist with generating and reviewing monthly reports, including following up on any outstanding matters.
  • Assist with any ad hoc project work, as required. 
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm, building relationships and promoting the firm at every opportunity. 

Experience / Qualifications / Education


  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Holds or is willing to work towards obtaining the International Compliance Association qualification.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the confidence to deal with people at all levels and to build supportive relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Ability to resolve queries and issues confidently and successfully.
  • Has good time management and organisational skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused methodical approach to tasks, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise deadlines. 
  • Ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, following instruction.
