Regulatory and Governance Non Executive Director

Help us end financial exclusion in Guernsey!

At Guernsey Community Savings we arrange access to basic banking services for islanders who can’t open a bank account and offer financial management guidance to those who need it.  

We are looking for the right person to join our Board as a Non Executive Director with oversight responsibility for regulatory and governance matters. 

The role is voluntary and will require an overall time commitment of two to three days a month.

·       Provide independent oversight of the charity’s regulatory and governance procedures and conduct

·       Provide an independent point of contact for regulatory and other authorities

·       Provide advice and support to the executive on regulatory and governance matters

·       Advise the executive on the handling of client complaints

·       Contribute to policy making and the strategic direction of the charity

·       Good experience in the fields of banking or financial services, including AML/CFT knowledge

·       Strong interpersonal skills

·       A broad perspective on the charity’s field of operations

·       An independent frame of mind

·       A desire to assist the vulnerable in our community and a sympathetic approach to supporting them
