Position: Kitchen Porter
Location: The Last Post Pub, St Andrews, Guernsey
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Start Date: Immediate Start
About Us:
The Last Post is a friendly, lively pub in the heart of St Andrews. We’re known for our welcoming atmosphere, great food, and fantastic team spirit — and now we’re looking to grow our kitchen team with a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Porter.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A reliable, hard-working individual who enjoys working as part of a team
- Willing to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota
- No experience necessary — full training will be provided
The Responsibilities
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised to the highest standards
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist chefs with basic food prep when required
- Help with deliveries, stock rotation, and waste disposal
- Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines
- Support the team with daily cleaning schedules and closing down procedures
Experience / Qualifications / Education
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team player mentality
- Willingness to learn and take direction
